The 2018 Lunar New Year or Spring Festival but commonly known in the U.S. as Chinese New Year takes place on Friday, February 16, 2018. According to the Chinese Zodiac, it is the Year of the Earth Dog and those born in the years 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018 are characteristically persistent, meticulously attentive, with good fortune in wealth. The Lunar New Year is one of the most celebrated holidays in Asian culture and growing in popularity. It is celebrated with lucky symbolic foods, family reunions, and time spent with friends and loved ones.
