ThirdSpace Action Lab is hosting Groundwater Presentation: Asian Americans - Uncovering the Complexities of Racial Inequity.VIRTUAL Friday 1/24/2025 | 1pm - 4pm ETIn this webinar, racial inequity is presented through the lens of the Asian American experience and, as such, is a vital component to our understanding of the role race plays in our American society. Individuals of ALL backgrounds are encouraged and invited to attend.This three-hour presentation provides an in-depth introduction to the racial inequities experienced by Asian Americans. Trainers will use data and research to go beyond surface-level observations and reveal a more nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by this community. Building on the analysis of structural racism presented in the standard Groundwater Presentation, this session delves into its specific impact on Asian Americans. You'll examine data disaggregated by ethnicity to uncover the complexities of inequities experienced by different Asian American subgroups, challenging common misconceptions and gaining a deeper understanding of the systemic barriers faced by Asian Americans.
