500 attendees witnessed the induction of the 2024 class into the Cleveland International Hall of Fame. Congratulations to our own VP of Communications Johnny Wu who was inducted along with five other exceptional recipients at Windows on the River. They were selected from a list of over 100 candidates this year based on their impact and their “valuable and lasting contribution to our multicultural city and region and to inspire a new generation of leaders.” Johnny was inducted by Margaret Wong, AsiaTown CLE community hero who was herself inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class in 2010. Johnny’s accomplishments include being an award-winning film producer and director through his company Media Design Imaging, co-founder and co-producer of the Cleveland Asian Festival (May 18-19!), former President and current VP of OCAGC, and advocate for Asiatown Cleveland. Celebrating with Wu were reps from event Sponsor Cleveland Asian Festival, OCAGC, One World Day, the film community, and many other friends. The 2024 inductees representing the amazing ethnic diversity of NE Ohio are: Dona Brady (Albanian), Ambassador Edward Crawford (Irish), Veronica Dahlber (Mexico and broader Hispanic), Dr. Eugene Jordan (posthumous, African-American), Erika Puussaar (Estonia), and Johnny K Wu (Chinese and broader Asian). Thanks to Dan Hanson and Debbie Hanson, ClevelandPeople.Com, other Hall of Fame leaders, and MC Russ Mitchell from WKYC for a successful 13th Induction Event! #history #diversity #cleveland #international #thisiscle #clevelandpeople ...
