2019 Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Pop-Up Park

MidTown Cleveland and the AsiaTown Advisory Committee are excited to host a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at the former Dave’s parking lot on East 33rd Street and Payne Avenue. The Mid Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, Tet Trung Thu, or Chuseok, is celebrated throughout Asian countries to honor the moon.

Join us on Friday, September 13, between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.! The parking lot will be transformed into a mini-park with seating, activities, tai chi, food trucks, storytelling, and more. This will be your last chance to buy your mooncakes!

• Grab a bite to eat from Dang Good Foods!
• Mooncakes and more for sale by KOKO BAKERY and Park to Shop.
• Mooncake samples (while supplies last), courtesy of Cleveland Asian Festival
• Visit OCA Greater Cleveland and Asian Services In Action – ASIA to register to vote and learn more about 2020 Census.
• Free Tai Chi at 4:30 p.m. (John Cosma) and 7:00 p.m. (Rob Rhym)
• Er hu music performance by Janice Liu at 4:30 PM
• Tunes by WJCU 88.7FM A Sprinkle of Seoul

Some seating will be available, but if you’re able, please bring a blanket or chair for moon watching!

This event is possible with support by Councilman Basheer Jones, Dave’s Supermarket, Li Wah, Cleveland Asian Festival, OCA Greater Cleveland, and the City of Cleveland Community Relations Board.

In case of severe weather, an alternate date will be on Friday, September 20th.
