We share this message because immigrants are unfairly stigmatized.Cleveland has a long-standing tradition of embracing newcomers, from the Irish, Italian, and German immigrants of the 1800s and 1900s to those from Asia, Africa, and the Americas over the last century. Our community is enhanced by this hospitality. Our economy thrives, our cuisine is more diverse, and our lives are enriched as a result. The " You Mean the World " campaign conveys a straightforward message: immigration is beneficial. This initiative highlights the stories, experiences, and statistics that substantiate this narrative.Follow the campaign @youmeantheworldcleLearn more at www.youmeantheworld.com#youmeantheworldcle ... 5/2/2025 - Congratulations and welcome to the 65 new Americans from 33 countries who participated in the morning Naturalization Ceremony. We were honored to assist 56 individuals in registering to vote with the help of three volunteers. The Honorable Judge Patricia Gaughan administered the Oath of Allegiance and discussed how the preamble of the Constitution begins with "We the People, " stating that all people are endowed with certain unalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But we must also be mindful that our freedom and liberty require responsibility. We encourage you to let the richness of your heritage add to the melting pot that is America. Together, with all of our diversity, individuality, and common goal of making a better life for ourselves and especially for our children, we will continue to make this the greatest country known to the world. She concluded by sharing Regina Brett's full article, "A pledge that stands the test of time," published shortly after 9/11. Here is a snippet of the reading: "...To the republic, a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, with supreme power given to its citizens. With leaders held accountable by ballots freely cast. Where no monarch, no dictator, no tyrant thrives. Where the minority voices are heard even when the majority rules..."#WeThePeople#naturalizationceremony #naturalizedcitizens#immigrantswelcome #PowerUp #GetRegistered #NewAmericans#AAPIvoices #ACEtheVote ...
