OCA Greater Cleveland (OCAGC), with a grant from Cleveland Foundation’s Minority Arts and Education Fund, is producing a video documentary on Chinese Americans/immigrants in AsiaTown to commemorate the 150th years of Chinese in Cleveland. The documentary will highlight the history of Cleveland’s AsiaTown from the perspective of Cleveland historians, community leaders, business owners, and residents. Filming will take place sometime in summer 2021.
We are currently accepting applications to interview by video Asian American community leaders, business owners, and residents to hear their lived experiences and historical perspective on Cleveland’s AsiaTown.
If you identify as Asian American and are or have been a long-time Cleveland resident/community leader/ business owner, we want to hear your story.
