Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) students across Ohio have experienced a number of changes and disruptions to their daily lives, all the while processing the rise in anti-Asian racism and discrimination nationally and internationally. As part of our series “{in}VISIBLE in OHIO,” OPAWL welcomes you to join in our community conversation “Share Your Stories” on May 13th where Asian/APIDA university students, graduate students, and recent graduates from institutions across Ohio will come together to share their thoughts, observations, and experiences in the time of COVID-19.

This event will feature an interactive small group and large group discussions, as well as a mindfulness component. We’ll talk about the impact of COVID-19 on our education and our daily lives, the impact of xenophobia / anti-Asian racism, Asians/APIDAs in relation to other communities of color, as well as the importance of the 2020 Census and other ways we can support our communities and be responsible to each other.
